For the 1995 MCA publication, Chronicle: 30 Years of Change, interviews with the remaining earliest key players supplied history of 30 years past. Similarly, my recorded conversations with key people in the transition of the museum to the current grounds came 20 years after the events - the span of decades stripped recollections of the time's urgency, as well as its historical context. Memories faded. While researching for this project, I learned that transition points are messy and complex as they determine history's next turn.
